The Client

Elements Europe, working in collaboration with JR Pickstock, has delivered a 73 bedroom hotel as a turnkey solution.

This project was the first to be completed by Bloc Hotel, a new hotel chain which specialises in boutique budget accommodation. The hotel has a minimalist design with a contemporary architectural style. It is located in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter close to the City Centre.

The Project

The £828,000 scheme saw Elements Europe deliver a 73 bedroom hotel complex, all modules contained en-suite bathrooms and were designed according to the specific requirements of the Bloc Hotel Group corporate branding.

In addition to the standard hotel rooms, Elements Europe also provided 3 linen rooms, a cleaning room, with floor, ceiling and corridor cassettes, all of which seamlessly integrated with the traditional construction methods being applied on-site by the main contractor.

All bedrooms feature flat screen televisions, king size beds, wet shower rooms as well as bespoke ambient Italian lighting as selected by Bloc Hotel.

From starting on-site through to completion the programme was 24 weeks. Elements Europe installed all bedrooms, stair cores and associated structural elements in 10 working days.
