The Client

Elements Europe worked in collaboration with its sister company, JR Pickstock to provide a turnkey solution, the end results were Broomfield Grange and Chelmsford nursing homes, both of which were provided for the client and operator European Care Group.

Elements Europe working alongside JR Pickstock delivered two flagship luxury care homes, both located in Chelmsford Essex. The Broomfield Grange home comprises of 140 bedrooms and the Chelmsford Nursing home has 64 bedrooms.

Project Description: Structural Bathroom Pods and Light Steel Frame

The homes were built using the LSF Façade and LSF Structure solutions. Meeting the needs for the fast track building of bathrooms and kitchens,LSF Structure optimises hybrid construction methods by providing fully load-bearing capability for buildings avoiding the duplication of floors, walls and ceilings, the system is ideal for the care home sector.

LSF Façade is a fully integrated light steel frame building solution, providing highly engineered bespoke solutions, offering the efficiencies of cutting edge design, manufacture, assemble and installation techniques.

Both nursing homes were handed over on schedule and were officially opened by the Mayor of Essex in April 2009. The new facilities represent a significant investment for the European Care Group. The homes have state of the art features together with innovations including a “Euro Cafe” (an Alzheimers cafe) for residents and their families.
